Accounting Manager

Ensure that all clients always have an accurate and updated understanding of their financial health.  Work with Senior Accountants to ensure clients are in the best financial position possible.   Communicate with clients at least quarterly to make sure their Greatest Needs are met, their tax savings are maximized, they are fully aware of any tax liabilities due and tax planning is provided.  Lead and manage the client consulting/advisory relationship.
 

Tasks


  • Manage assigned clients consulting/advisory relationships.
  • Consult with clients regarding tax planning and strategy.
  • Identify needed Advisory services for clients.
  • Provide Advisory services for select clients.
  • Provide feedback and assistance to Accounting Services Director in training, hiring, firing, and review process for Staff and Senior Accountants.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
 

Detailed Work Activities


  • Meet (virtual or in person) with each client quarterly to discuss corporate/personal projection, financial health of company, tax savings opportunities and (at least annually)  tax planning. (Seniors should attend 1x per year per client)
  • Meet (virtual or in person) with each client annually to deliver and discuss tax return(s).
  • Identify additional Advisory services clients need
  • After Advisory is accepted, provide Advisory delivery (virtual or in person)
  • Assist with new employee onboarding – work with ASD/HR to ensure program training and specific job trainings are scheduled in advance and resources are fully available.
  • Identify and correct individual knowledge gaps as reviewing Senior work. Help identify team-wide knowledge gaps and provide to ASD.
  • Assist ASD with 90-day and quarterly staff reviews. Help identify team members for promotion & potential leadership.
  • Step into client ownership as needed during staff onboarding, offboarding, or unexpected growth.
  • Peer review as requested or needed

Track all billable time in PCS Attend Accounting Manager L10 Review PCS for late, missing or inaccurate projects Meet with each client (in person or Teams) to review financial snapshot, projections Prepare or Review Corp returns for select clients Review  of financials prepared by Seniors.
Ensure workplace is compliant Attend Accounting L10 (biweekly)
 
  Provide staff feedback for scorecard reviews Prepare or review 1040s for select clients Peer review of other AM tax preparation
      Fill out Master Core Concepts spreadsheet for each staff you review   Provide Advisory services
