Integrated Logistics Support Lead Position Description
Position Summary
The Lead for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) is responsible for planning, managing, and reviewing all logistics analyses and deliverables that support U.S. Army acquisition and sustainment activities. This includes FMECA, FTA, RCMA, MTA, MAC, LORA, PPL, TDP, EDFP, RPSTL, TM, DMWR, and all associated Logistics Product Data. In addition, this position holds primary responsibility for determining and applying all required data protection markings, including CUI categories and markings, Distribution Statements, ITAR markings, and SBIR data rights legends.
Integrated Logistics Support Leadership
Lead development, review, and integration of ILS products including FMECA, FTA, RCMA, MTA, MAC, LORA, PPL, TDP, EDFP, RPSTL, TM, and DMWR. Ensure alignment with Army, DoD, and applicable technical standards. Coordinate with systems engineering, reliability/maintainability engineering, publications teams, and configuration management.
Technical Data Governance
Oversee creation, validation, and configuration control of all ILS related technical data packages and logistics product data. Ensure all data is traceable, internally consistent, and suitable for provisioning, maintenance planning, cataloging, and publication.
Data Marking & Protection (CUI, Distribution Statement, ITAR, SBIR)
This position is responsible for ensuring all required markings are applied to ILS artifacts and technical data.
Identify applicable Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) categories using the program SCG.
Apply correct banner/footer markings, category markings, and limited‑dissemination control markings.
Ensure consistent marking across all deliverables.
Determine the correct Distribution Statement (A–F) based on CDRL requirements.
Ensure that Distribution Statements are properly formatted and applied to all technical data and publications, including CUI and Controlled Technical Information (CTI).
Determine when technical data falls under export‑control requirements (e.g., USML items).
Apply required ITAR export control markings and maintain appropriate access controls.
Ensure deliverables containing ITAR controlled content are only released to authorized U.S. persons or licensed recipients.
Identify when data qualifies for SBIR/STTR protection.
Apply the required SBIR data rights legend with all mandated elements.
Ensure SBIR markings appear on every page of protected technical data as required.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Establish quality control measures ensuring data correctness, completeness, consistency, and compliance with standards, including marking requirements. Support audits, configuration reviews, and government acceptance of all ILS deliverables.
Stakeholder & IPT Coordination
Coordinate with the Program Office, engineering team, Program security, and all other stakeholders. Provide authoritative guidance on ILS data structure, provisioning, maintenance planning, and technical data markings.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, or related technical field; Master’s preferred. 8–12+ years experience in DoD/Army ILS, technical data, or product support. Demonstrated experience with FMECA, FTA, RCMA, MAC, LORA, provisioning data, and technical manual development. Familiarity with CUI handling and marking requirements, DoD Distribution Statements, ITAR export‑control rules, and SBIR/STTR data rights. Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating CUI, ITAR, and data rights requirements into technical workflows. Experience with Army provisioning tools, LPD exchange formats, and technical publication standards. Understanding of configuration management and government data‑rights frameworks.
