Apply to Applications Engineer
We are seeking an Applications Engineer to support the deployment, integration, testing, and technical support of military GPS and Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems. This role focuses on supporting system integration, field testing, and operational demonstrations with military users. The Applications Engineer will work closely with development engineers, test teams, and government stakeholders to help install, configure, test, and troubleshoot GPS/PNT equipment during field exercises, platform integrations, and system demonstrations.
This position requires frequent travel (up to 50%) to military installations, test ranges, and operational environments. Travel may include supporting field tests, military exercises, integration activities, and operational evaluations. Veterans with relevant technical military experience are encouraged to apply. Equivalent military training and operational experience may be considered in lieu of some formal engineering and education requirements.
Typical Key Responsibilities include:
• Provide on-site support for installation, configuration, and operation of military GPS and
PNT systems
• Assist with system integration on military platforms including vehicles and dismounted
systems
• Support field testing, demonstrations, and operational evaluations
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and RF-related issues during system testing and
deployment
• Support the internal testing team by executing software testing, regression testing, and
system validation activities
• Assist in the development and execution of test procedures and test reports
• Collect operational feedback from users and document field observations
• Support operator and maintainer training activities
Provide technical support to project managers and engineering teams during field
events
• Create and maintain documentation including trip reports, test procedures, integration
guides, and user documentation
Required Qualifications
• U.S. Citizen (required)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
• 3–6 years of relevant technical experience in field engineering, systems integration,
testing, or technical support
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering,
or other technical field
OR other Bachelor’s Degree and military technical training and experience
• In-depth understanding and experience working with GPS, GNSS, or Positioning,
Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems
• Experience executing system testing or software validation activities
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel up to 50%
